April 13, 201016 yr FSX worked fine last night as usual and this PC hasn't been touched since then until now. I noted that FSUIPC was not working (which made the LVL-D B763 and the QW B752 unable to load), then also noted that all of the other add-on menu items were gone except the EZdoc camera item. What could do this, and how do I restore it?Any help most appreciated. This is really weird. Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
April 13, 201016 yr Author Update- I downloaded FSXML from Flight One, and can create a new XML file with just FSUIPC and Level D, and they both work OK. However, when extracting from my original backed-up XML file (in FSXML), I can't get either of these to work, so I guess my original XML file is corrupted.I did do something prior to noticing this tonight, I went into the Mad Dog load manager, which I see is an item in the original XML file. Am I correct in thinking that I need to re-install all of the add-ons that have XML entries (other than FSUIPC and Level D, both of which I can manually create with FSXML)?Thanks, Bruce ASEL, Instrument. April 14, 201016 yr I think if an addon is supposed to run in FSX as a dll, it needs to be in the dll.xml file. If it is an exe and needs to start with FSX, it should be in exe.xml. There might be some issue with the order of entries. Some things might need to be higher or maybe lower in the list.scott s..
April 14, 201016 yr Bruce,It's a corrupt entry in your dll.xml file.Go through it and check each entry has correctly placed <Launch.Addon> and </Launch.Addon> lines.I had the same thing happen recently. - Dean P3Dv4 & XP11 space
