April 17, 201016 yr Hello, Please sign your full name to posts in this forum per forum rules, thanks. What do you windows event logs say? There should be something in the application logs of whatever the faulting module is that's causing your crash. To access your event logs. Click the windows start button, right click My Computer and choose Manage. In the left hand side of the Computer management window that opens, expand "Windows Logs", then highlight Application. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier

April 18, 201016 yr Faulting application fsx.exe, version 10.0.61472.0, time stamp 0x475e17d3, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x00000000, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00000000, process id 0x560, application start time 0x01cade68acb1d913.
April 18, 201016 yr I hate when the event logs only state fsx.exe. Not much to go on here. I would say try to copy your fsx.cfg to a new location for backup and then start fsx and let it rebuild a new one and see how that goes. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
April 18, 201016 yr The common culprit with FSX crash on load is the dll.xml file, but a crash after flying for an hour or two is much harder to pinpoint. The only known problem is related to using the FMS arrivals/approaches revisions with an error in the flight plan. Otherwise, you need to see if you are having a hardware problem. Also, look at the thread pinned in the general section about using the HIGHMEMFIX statement in your config file. Dan Downs KCRP
April 18, 201016 yr hey thanks for the responses, i cant find the fsx.cfg file tho im not all that great with computers so a little pointer as to where the file is would be appreciated, ill try that HIGHMEMFIX see if that does anything
April 18, 201016 yr Depends on your OS. Try looking under your username app data roaming microsoft fsx.... Dan Downs KCRP
April 19, 201016 yr Also the app data folder maybe hidden so you need to go into folder options and unhide folders. Jay Vorkapic
