April 23, 201016 yr I have some OLD PC components and would very much appreciate some help about how to tie them together:CPU: P4 - 1.8GHz 478RAM: 512Mb DDR SDRAMHDD: 200Gb SATAVideo: A crap 1990's AGP CardPSU: 300Watt ATX supplyCase: NONEMobo: NONEThis is to build a networked PC used ONLY to run ancillary applications alongside my flightsim main PC, and to access the internet. Nothing heavy. I need to get this in a small case as I've very little space so, not a full ATX board. So, I'm looking for suggestions re the mainboard (new or used) and a small case. Many thanks for any help. April 23, 201016 yr This is what I could dig up. Not sure if they all have integrated ethernet.Searched on formfactor and AGP. Oh, didn "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
April 23, 201016 yr I just did something very similar, but not for FSI had a CPU and spare HD and little else. I was not willing to spend any serious money for any other components, so I got on Ebay and found a used dell "barebones" system for 100 USD, which was Case, power supply, mobo, and videocardAdded a little cheap cheap memory and a CD Rom and voila' new PC out of old bits, it even looks half-decent.So maybe give ebay a try.
