April 26, 201016 yr Moderator First I just wanted to say that after months and months of trying to decide whether or not to buy the J41, I decided to get it on Friday. The reason I had such a hard time trying to decide whether or not to get the plane was solely on the premise of if I was really going to use it that much. I hate buying addon sceneries or planes, and then never really using them as it feels like a waste of money. However, since I went to FSX a few years ago I have been flying mostly the LDS 767 and decided it was time to try something else smaller and for shorter hops. As you can see in my sig, I also own the CaptSim 727 and Emb 170/190, but never really use them much, but that wont be the case with this bird.I have flown the J41 on and off through the weekend and all I can say is WOW. It is really a work of art and the performance is really good. I would also like to comment on how well the tutorial was put together. Out of all the tutorials I have followed in the past for addon complex planes, I think this one was probably the most organized and easy to follow. I was up and running in no time and have suffered no engine fires so far, lol. This brings me to the question I wanted to ask about the upcomming NGX, which since I switched to FSX is the only plane I am REALLY missing from the FS9 version from PMDG that I bough years ago.1. Will the NGX have a similiar ramp manager that we can use to open doors, place chocks, etc.? I really like the way it is done on the J41 and though it would be a really nice feature to see on the 737.2. Can the NGX also have an in cockpit load manager like the J41? I found this to be most usefull and was a lot easier than haing to access it in a menu prior to starting FSX.3. If the NGX has a config manager like the J41 can use please include the option to either reduce the refresh rates or turn off the EADI and EHSI for the copilot? I turned the copilots off in the J41 and get a lot better performance than having them on in both sides of the a/c and since I always fly on the left side I have no need for them on the right side if it saves that many FPS like it does in the J41.4. Lastly and I know I have asked this before, please include the VC rain effects in the NGX. It was really neat to be on the ramp in the J41 during a storm and actually see rain on the wind shield. I know that the camp is split on those who hate the rain effects and those who love them like me, so maybe they could be handled as an option that you can either enable or disable, like the icing effects are on the J41.While on the ramp it really added a nice effect, rather than just seeing the lines of rain comming down outside. i know that it was mentioned that the rain effects may not be visible while in flight in real life so I was wondering if maybe they could be prgrammed to turn off after reaching a certain speed of say 130 kts? If not, I would still rather have them than not, or at least have them as a user option to turn on/off.Anyways thanks for the great product in the J41 and now I really cant wait for the NGX after having gotten a taste of a new PMDG product.Regards,Sean Campbell Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
