I have been researching but got nowhere.I have read the system requirement and have the above minimum (I know this is not the best guide to use) but I am having problems with my Video card not working. I keep getting kicked out of FSX before it loads (I have un-instlled it) and FS9 is running slow and I got an Error when first playing it. - I know my pc is not amazing but it should be adeqaute?? I am running a dxdiag and nothing is showing up for graphics card?!Intel

Check for dust in processor cooler, could explain failure as program demands increases temperature. Another stick of ram would also benefit you, make sure it's the exact same brand and type as the one you got.

My is not showing up in Dxdiag 9.0, is this normal? sorry for my lack of knowledge? I will check my PC for any virus but I have only recently formatted and rarely go on the net. I did get the latest drivers but I was still getting an error message when booting up FS9. Sorry being so vague. I Need to have a look exactly what the erros say when I get home. I managed to get FS9 running but if it is going to be slowly then maybe its just the best I can get from it. (thought it would be faster than I have it at the mo) :) I will have a look at legacy driver. Thanks for the help though :) much appreciated.

My is your graphic card ?If the Dxdiag not detect the graphic card (you can not make the Direct Draw tests - Direct 3D tests .. etc .. ) .. it's very weird .. and I can assume the card have some problem.Do this graphic card detected by Windows? (control panel - hardware)What is the driver you use for the 5200 ?The best is to use the dedicated drivers for this card (see the CD furnished normaly with this card or find on the Nvidia drivers pages the first driver who was compatible with the 5200)Are you able to open the Nvidia graphic control applet ?If all above is negative .. try to deinstall drivers and stop PC (unhook from power line)Open and remove the card and put it again in the slot .. maybe it's no good seated.Chek also the graphic card cooling fan (if any as some 5200 are cooling fanless and have a heatsink instead)Start again PC and see if windows detect the card ..If yes .. refuse the proposed drivers installation by windows and install yours.Good luck.Regards.Gus.

Hey Gus, lol sorry got a bit carried away typing. No display adapters are showing up in the device manager. And I have used the latest drivers.Im going to try again. :)when doing the dxdiag nothing shows up under device but I am able to do a direct draw test but no 3d hmmcheers for the help :) I will have a look.

That's bad !I have this same symptom time ago with a Ti 4600 and the result was the card cooked ! Regards.Gus.

Hello,I don't think you must trow too much money in this machine for anyways have good results.An ATI 4850 or around this category of performances can be good (at least for FS2004 .. who seem's better fit for your machine) IMHO Regards.Gus.

Strange that your 9200se card doesn't work.My current PC came with that card installed and while its very basic it used to work very well with FS9.Is your Gcard seated properly in its slot inside your PC? might be worth a look just to check that it is.it might explain why its not visible in dxdiag.cheers Andy
