April 30, 201016 yr After fooling around with the GPS and getting very frustrated I have some questions...1. Is it correct that the COM on the GPS doesn't work? According to the manual I should be able to press on the left knob (PUSH C/V), but I just can't and I am stuck with the NAV...2. I can only find one clickspot (a + on the top right) on the right knob (PUSH CRSR). With that one clickspot I can use the mouse wheel to switch between the main NAV, WPT and NRST pages, but I can't change subpages in those categories. Should there be more clickspots and if not, how can I acces the subpages?!?I also find I often have to search for the clickspots: they are very small and on odd places very often (the spots and the left of the PUCH C/V know are way off) and I have to search for them everytime, which is quite annoying. It's also a pity I can't simply use the mouse wheel above some knobs (for instance the alt knob, where you have to search for a - or + in order to use the mousewheel). Some other things: what exactly does the YD button do? And what about the switch that says Free and slaved (or something like that: I can't check it right now because FSX locked up while I was typing)? And why is some very small text (that's of no importance at all) razorsharp and other completely unreadable?Besides all this I think the plane is VERY 'twitchy' and sensitive, almost uncontrolable, really.Yes, you guessed right: right now I am quite frustrated and I regret the purchase, but I am sure I'll be fine and happy with it when I know how everything should work (and the first patches have arrived). :(
April 30, 201016 yr I'm the same. The GPS hot spots in the VC and near to impossible to find. But other than that great! April 30, 201016 yr Commercial Member The various comments about it being twitchy and over-sensitive on the controls make me wonder how much of the problem is controller-specific. So far, I'm not having any control problems with the plane; it feels a little heavy, quicker in a roll than pitch, but very controllable. And the elevator trim doesn't seem nearly as sensitive as it was in some previous Carenado releases. I've got a Saitek yoke, pedals, and throttle, so maybe some other sticks or yokes are reacting differently. For me, this plane is fairly simple to control and doesn't feel twitchy at all. The GPS hot spots in the VC and near to impossible to find. But other than that great!Yes, it looks great (apart from the incredible low res text on the panel here and there, which looks awfully wrong: can't imagine this is how Carenado meant it to be). Guess I won't use the GPS until they fixed it (or until someone can tell me what's wrong with my Bonanza install). In fact, I guess I won't use the plane at all until everything else is fixed too (I can't even take off from a lot of my favorite PNW airfields!). But well, after buying the C185F pretty soon after its release, I should have known Carenado planes need some time to get going... but they DO get going one day, I am sure of that. I think. :(EDIT:Another thing: the flap lever only has two positions...? When I pull it down (that is completely down) flaps go the the first flap setting and I have to click on the lever again (which is already completely down and doesn't move) to get the full flaps. Looks odd.EDIT 2:On a positive sidenote :( : I just discovered the included WINDOWS 100% TRANSPARENT option! Cool!
April 30, 201016 yr I can confirm the sensitive pitch issues as well. I am using the CH yoke and pedals. I had the same problem with the Seneca, fixed after the patch. once at t/o speed I get a violent pitch up. If they fixed it on the seneca, i'm sure they will fix the debbi! other than that its another winner!!!! new favorite for sure!! I have already removed the stock Carenado 430 and replaced them with 530s but this is in a/c folder.RayM When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

When you go to for example the NRST page and press those buttons, nothing happens: they only work on the NAV page but they have nothing to do with the subpages. You simply cannot swith to the other subpages of the NRST page (or any main page). Take a look at the little white squares underneath the page: the first one is white, the others are outlined: I can't get to those other pages.
