On June 5, 2008, 4:38 PM, you were kind enough to answer my post, "North American Tracks What is N93B" (author: "rhodges").You pointed me to the following link: "http://naco.faa.gov/pdfs/ne_rear_05JUN2008.pdf", which contained: "Special Notices - Washington DC ADIZ Special Terms & Procedures". Unfortunately, that link can no longer be found. Fortunately, I saved the PDF file and still use it regularly. As you stated in your original reply, it certainly does have a wealth of information and for flightsim purposes it has been a lifesaver. Thanks loads again. However, the data is quite old, June 5 - July 31, 2008. Do you, or anyone else for that matter reading this post, know of an up to date link that gives the same type of information. (particularly NARS)? I have tried just editing the date (i.e. "http://naco.faa.gov/pdfs/ne_rear_05MAR2010.pdf") with about every combination with which I can think, but have not come up with the proper text yet, Thanks:RTH

Everything you need is here:http://www.fsbuild.com/nat/www.notams.jcs....common/nat.htmlNARs data is included below the track, EUR tracks as wellexample:S YYT NOVEP 48/50 50/40 51/30 53/20 MALOT GISTI <= the track ID is S (Sierra) YYT entry point, GISTI exitpoint.EAST LVLS 320 330 340 350 360 370 380 390 400 <= Track SIERRA can be used for flying EAST at the following FLIGHT LEVELSWEST LVLS NIL <= Track SIERRA is NOT available for WESTbound crossingEUR RTS EAST NIL <= No Preferred routing,NAR N55B N59A- <= the 'Preferred' routes to 'ENTER' this track are N55B and N59AEDIT: If you use NAR's in the 'context' of NAT's the above explanation will apply. but they are not even related... NAT is North ATLANTIC tracks. NAR's are NORTH American and they are common routes (airways) from point to point

Thanks for the reply *******: I do have the link you reference, as well as several others which give the same information.I am afraid I may not have made it clear as to just what I was talking about relative to my link in question for which I am searching:"Everything you need is here:" (Not quite)"NARs data is included below the track, EUR tracks as well" (Reference yes, "NARs data" no. "EUR's" are another matter.)For an example, what I mean by this is that the Westbound Common Portion Track E does identify that the NAR's for track "E" are: "NAR N184B N188B" as a reference only, but do not include the data of those NAR's which for example are as follows on the old June 5, 2008 link of my original post:For "N184B" the coastal fix is "YAY", Route Direction is "Direct", and the Inland Nav. Facility/Fix is "TOPPS".For "N188B" the coastal fix is "YAY", Route Direction is "Direct", and the Inland Nav. Facility/Fix is "YRI".For routing that is not "Direct", even more fixes would be important for routing."but they are not even related..." (I respectfully differ here and am afraid I do not understand what you are exactly saying). If this designated navigation is implemented, the routing is tied directly together with the NAT and NAR are extentions of each other plus the "Inland Navigation Facility'Fix's" and "Destinations".In addition to this, if we progress to the designated Inland Navigation Facility'Fix, we would find the "Non-Common Portion for routing to 24 destinations for "TOPPS" and 11 for "YRI". (NAT to NAR Common to NON-Common - Destination)In addition to this, my referenced link contained an unbelievable additional wealth of information. I only saved 301 pages, (348 - 648) and don't even have the first 347 pages. Judging by the old date of what I saved, my assumption is that it is released every two months by the FAA. It is one BIG PDF file.I hope I have not confused you even more. Thanks for your help.Respectfully:RTH

But NARs are like airways :) if you use FSBUild, for example, you can (assuming you have the latest AIRAC) see which waypoints belong to that particular airway... You are correct that the link I provided lists NARs for 'reference' because it IS assumed you have a way to lookup airways and see which waypoints belong there.
"but they are not even related..." (I respectfully differ here and am afraid I do not understand what you are exactly saying).
Wrong choice of words, evidently they are 'related' but by no means the 'same' thing... but, like you say merely an 'extension'.Anyway, am I correct assuming you are looking for a 'source' to get this NARs 'IDs' with their corresponding waypoints?

Hello again *******:"Anyway, am I correct assuming you are looking for a 'source' to get this NARs 'IDs' with their corresponding waypoints?" Exactly!. That is for what I am looking, or at least a major portion of it. With a Google search I can find several, but they are all out of date. How do I find the latest (or did they go out the window when free AIRACS bit the dust)?IF there is still an updated link like the one I originally referenced, ""http://naco.faa.gov/pdfs/ne_rear_05JUN2008.pdf", the waypoints in question plus much much more would be included. I would have thought that all that needed to be changed would have been the "05JUN2008" dating, but editing tries toward that end have not worked for me. I fear that you probably hit the problem indirectly. Such a site May have stopped being avialable when the free latest AIRACS ceased to be.Thanks for your interest and comments.RTH

Thanks so much Jim:You knew exactly for what I was asking.I see the current issue is dated from "NE,08 APR 2010 to 03 JUN 2010" My assumption is that the next issue will be on June 4, 2010. Please let me ask one more question: When this next update is issued, how do I find it? For instance, will editing the link you were so kind to post work as follows?From:http://aeronav.faa.gov/pdfs/ne_rear_08APR2010.pdfEdited to:"http://aeronav.faa.gov/pdfs/ne_rear_04JUN2010.pdf"I guess what I am asking is how do you search and find the updated links? Sometimes ignorance is not bliss.Again, thank you kindly!Respectfully:RTH

You need the NE supplement, available here:http://aeronav.faa.gov/pdfs/ne_rear_08APR2010.pdfNorth American Routes start on page 480.Enjoy!Jim Harnes

Editing the link should work. The basic publication name does not change. However, just in case, here is the roadmap:1. Go to http://aeronav.faa.gov/index.asp?xml=aeron...lications/d_afd2. Click digital-Airport/Facility Directory at bottom of the resulting page3. On the next page select Maine in the Select a State dropdown box the click search.4. Finally, on the next page, select the Supplemental link just above the Airport/NAVAID Results box. That will take you to the current NE Supplement, which has the NARs and much other good information. If you are an information junkie, there is a supplement for each FAA region, which may be found by selecting a state in each of the regions as in 3 and 4 above.Jim Harnes
