List of waypoints

Featured Replies

I know there is a utility to add waypoints to FS9 but my problem is that it is difficult to check whether or not a facility exists in the FS9 database. Is there a way of creating a list of waypoints?vololiberista

Just the other day I needed to add some IFR waypoints to accomplish an RNAV (GPS) approach. Since I use the Plan-G flight planner program, I added them using Plan-G and they then appeared also in the FS map. Now I don't know if they are added there permanently or not, but they weren't there in Plan-G nor in the FS map until I added them.Plan-G is a fantastic program with so many options available. I'm finding new ones almost each time I use it. It's donation ware and fantastic to use.Jim D.

I use "FS9 Facility Editor" to add facilities that I know don't exist. But, my problem is, for example: I create a flightplan that when loaded into fs9 doesn't work (usually because FS9 doesn't recognise one or some of the facilities due to the latest AIRAC cycle) My problem is "which" facilities are not recognised. The only way at the moment is to go through the flight plan facility by facility trying to trace them on the FS9 map. I need something that could create a list (not an entire list - as that would be too long) say all facilities beginning with "C". Then I could quickly compare my flightplan and add the missing waypoints.vololiberista

If you can find Super Flight Planner V3 it can build a database from your fs9 default scenery files and export a file for excel. You can also disassemble the stock files (NV9 and AT9) yourself. There is a program "Easynavs" which will disassemble the NV9 files (VORs and NDBs).Keep in mind, though, that certain waypoints and terminal NDBs (compass locators for the most part) that are part of instrument procedures "belong" to their airport and are in the AP9 files.scott s..
