May 6, 201016 yr It seems to me that a lot of pilots who join VA's get pretty bored with it and do not stay long term, based on the trolling ive done and the number of pilots with low hours at any particular VA who have been there a while. The novelty seems to where off pretty quickly.Has anybody thought of, or has seen, a VA that offers pilots on short or long term loans.Let me explain in more detail. You see labour hire companies around the world that offer skilled workers places at companies on a long or short term basis. What if there were a VA that had pilots on its books who loaned out pilots to other VA's on varied length contracts. Hours and virtual stocks (even a contract price of some sought), would be accrued by the hosting VA as well as the 'labour hire' VA and pilots could vary their flying experience around the world and between VA's and perhaps not get bored with committing to one VA forever. As an example, a hosting VA would approach the 'labour hire' VA for an experienced 747, A320 or single engine bush pilot for a 1 month period, the 'labour hire' VA would produce a dossier of pilots with aircraft and hours experience of pilots and the hosting VA would choose. It could be advantageous to existing VA's that struggle to hold onto pilots by inviting pilots for a short term loan, and you never know, these pilots could be impressed by what they see, resign from the labour hire VA and stay. Or if the existing VA doesn't like what they see, its adios bye bye after the contract period. So is this a feasible idea, would it work?Thoughts and ideas from current VA management and pilots and anybody in general.
May 6, 201016 yr I think this would not work. Pilots in reality do not choose their airline with "Do i like" and "Do i not like" (couldn't find a right word for it) factors as this is with the virtual airlines. I think virtual pilots simply would not like to be exchanged to a other VA. But I could be wrong at this point.
