AI Stopping on Runway

Featured Replies

Several times when I'm lined up on a runway for takeoff, AI will freeze on my runway. I understand that RC purposefully freezes AI to prevent runway incursions. Shouldn't RC make certain that the AI is not already on the runway before it freezes it?If this has already been discussed, please just provide a link. I searched and didn't find anything. Thanks for the help.StaceyFS9WinXP

Freezing AI only occurs during the last few miles of landing, not during take-off AFAIK. Are you running any other applications that might affect this? AISmooth is one and to fix that with AISmooth in its settings turn off respond to user aircraft.Does this happen at all airports? Does freezing happen without RC running if you line up?It would be best to follow the instructions pinned at the top of the forum regarding making a log, zipping it, and then sending it in for analysis. You can close RC a couple of minutes after this condition occurs to terminate log recording. Then go into the rcv4 folder and rename it so it will not get overwritten in case you start another log.

if you are using third party scenery, rc doesn't know where your taxi ways and runways are. be sure you have the latest makerwys.exe (download it from the link pinned to the top of the forum). then start rc, click the rebuild rc scenery database button, and let me read your scenery filesthen try it again, and see if the ai stop where they are supposed to stop.
