What is the max range on the 747-8i Thanks Joe Naps

The performance data is not modelled, only the "skin" so the range is the same as the 747-400.

and what is the range on that? Thanks Joe Naps

That really is not easy to answer, it depends on so many factors. You might be able to cruise for anywhere between 11 to 14 hours depending on lots of things.

The reason I ask is that I tried to do a trip from KJFK to OMDB and everything looked good up till the last 200nm when she ran out of fuel. I never got an "insufficient fuel" warning so i was a little curious as to what the range was. Thanks Joe Naps

That's about 6000 nm or maybe 11 hours with favorable winds? That shouldn't be a problem. I seldom think in terms of range as distance but as time, sorry. You should try that again, do a complete fuel estimate per manual and then monitor your progress. You should know long before the last 200nm (30 min?) that you are going to run out of fuel. Winds sure make a difference too. Be sure you have a handle on that.
