May 20, 201016 yr Just out of interest, is it possible to coerce another computer to "inject" AI traffic into FSX via simconnect? my computer is not powerful enough to run a lot of traffic locally by itself, but I was wondering if there was an add-on that could run the AI logic on a seperate machine to save my processor some work.If such a product is available, is there also an equivalent for weather modelling? if I can get as many CPU-bound processes off my main box I'm sure that would help my frame rates.Kind regardsDave
May 20, 201016 yr Hi,The AI engine is a part of FSX. The planes can be moved, but that will not affect the CPU hit.The major weather programs can be run on a networked computer.

Remember, the other system may process the task but the data still has to received by the other system and processed and drawn by the video system etc.Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
May 21, 201016 yr UT2 injects traffic into FSX via an outside process and simconnect, dont know if its possible to run it from a remote PC, make a post on the forum over at flight1regs
May 21, 201016 yr Author Thanks for both responses, I'll definately check out UT2.What I was really hoping was that the other computer could actually run the AI logic and move the AI planes around the map, and the primary FSX machine would simply render them. Although you'd see some overhead on the primary machine all it would be getting would be a stream of position/status updates for the AI planes each frame it wouldn't be any worse than a multiplayer session. In fact, I wonder if any enterprising developer has leveraged the multiplayer features to handle traffic...Kind regardsDave
