Conflict Between Track IR and Camera Panning

Featured Replies

Hi All,I'm an old FS9 user who's recently back into the hobby with FSX, and as always turning to this great forum for some help when needed... short of it is that I use Track IR 5 (works great) but when I switch to a camera view outside the plane I am only able to move the camera perspective in a limited way, by still movin g my head. I cannot seem to get the hat switch on my joystick (Logitech 940) to pan independently of head motion, though it seems to try - then the view immediately snaps back.Has anyone else experienced this sort of conflict, and found a solution? Would love for Track IR to not work in exterior camera views, only virtual cockpit, as it used to in FS9.Thanks for any help,Joel

Yeah you have to pause Track IR. Default key is F10 I think... actually I changed mine so I can't remember the hotkey.... the defaults are F9 through F12Might want to check the manual:http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/suppor...-Chapter_5.htmlAlso I am using a profile from Seth - you can find it on their forums - called "seth-flight" - I found it to be the best for Flight Sim

Just hit F9, and you can use your hat switch to pan. Hit F9 again and you're back to Track IR.

Super, thanks... I knew there must be an easy solution I was missingThanks,Joel

I don't know that's fixed the issue, Joel:F9 is default Pause. I map the pause to the "\" key and then map that to my Logitech MX Revolution "Keystroke Assignment". This allows a hand on the mouse to just press this one button and the screen is paused. F7 is default Precision, which I never use, and F12 is default center. To get a decent outside view I twist my head though 110 degrees, pause, and then press the "S" key. This gives me a reasonable screenshot off the side of the aircraft, somewhere. If you want to use the Hat switch when you pause the TIR, at that point - then I think you need to do that through the Camera interfaces of EZCA - in which case zip over and ask Marni. The other guy who's getting quite smart with this "EZ" thingy is Jeroen (JvanE) He now has a "How-To" written. It's here on the forum somwhere, but it's also over at the EZDoK site:-http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=34746..and it's a pretty good read.
