May 28, 201016 yr Attention Talented Painters,I am very interested in flying a Hawaiian Air MD-11 in their most recent livery for FS9 and FSX. I find it to be an attractive livery and having it on the beautiful MD-11 would be wonderful. Anyone with the skill willing to do such a paint? Thanks very much,Gabe Pfeiffer Gabe Pfeiffer
September 2, 201015 yr Author I thought I would repeat my request for a Hawaiian Air repaint. New livery of course. I hope others are interested. I would appreciate it very much.Thank you,Gabe Pfeiffer Gabe Pfeiffer
September 6, 201015 yr Hi GabeIt’s a little late I know (OK very late), but I had been thinking of doing this colour scheme for myself for a while now, but I never got around to it, I never do when it’s a repaint for myself, so seeing as you are also interested in it, I thought I would make a start on her, the main problem is a lack of good tail and rear fuselage logo’s, so I have had to do a hand drawn version, now if all goes well there should be a screen shot of the work in progress of her, so if this is the type of colour scheme you were after then let me know and I will finish her off, don’t worry about the main fuselage bit’s it mainly the tail area that I have to really finish off.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson
September 6, 201015 yr Author Jim,Thank you for your hard work. I am indeed interested in a finished version. She looks like she is coming along very nicely. I admire your talents. By, the way I have downloaded your repaints in another thread you have going and they a fantastic. Thanks again,Gabe Gabe Pfeiffer
September 7, 201015 yr Hi GabeFirstly, thank you for those very kind comments, I really do appreciate them, and secondly thanks for making me get around to actually finishing the Hawaiian repaint, it may sound odd but I very rarely get around to doing the colour schemes that I want, I usually have to wait until they get requested, so thanks for requesting her, I will now have something that actually belongs at PHNL for my flights.Back as soon as I have something for you.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson
September 7, 201015 yr Hi again GabeWell I managed to get some repainting time in on the Hawaiian repaint, so if you would care to take her for a spin to she if she is what you wanted, then here is the download link for the files..http://www.filefront.com/17270247/MD_11_Hawaiian_01.zipAs always, if you want anything changing, adding or removing, in fact any updates to her, then just let me know and I will try my best to assist.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson
September 11, 201015 yr Author Jim,I apologize for the delayed response. Things have been a little hectic around here lately. Great job on the Hawaiian repaint. I can't thank you enough. Thanks again,Gabe Gabe Pfeiffer
September 11, 201015 yr Hi GabeNot a problem, don’t worry about it, and thank you for the complement it really is appreciated.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson
October 2, 201015 yr Author Jim,I might be getting a little greedy with my next question. Is it possible to get this repaint for FS9? My computer doesn't run FSX quite as well as FS9. I certainly would understand if you are over this livery. As usual I appreciate your help.Thank,Gabe Gabe Pfeiffer
October 3, 201015 yr Hi GabeFirst the bad news, which is that although I do have FS9 installed I don’t have the FS9 version of the MD-11, now the good news, I do however have a buddy that does have the FS9 version and does not really mind if I occasionally ask him to test out any converted repaints, so with that in mind let me see what I can come up with for you.Take care, and back as soon as I have something for you to take for a spin.Jim Hodkinson
October 3, 201015 yr Hi GabeWell that was easier than I though (it’s been a while since I did any repaint conversions), but if you would like to take her for a spin then here is the download link for the files..http://www.filefront.com/17346006/MD_11_Hawaiian_01_FS9.zipAs always any problems, updates or changes that you may need then just let me know and I will try my best to assist, but please keep in mind that they may take longer than usual as I will have to send any changes tested so it will cause a bit of a delay, as for the screen shot, it seems that for some reason I can not get one to show even when using a previous shot that I have posted before, it still shows a red X similar to a file missing error in both the preview and when clicking on browse or attach, sorry about that.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson

I would really like to fly the American Airlines One World livery and the American Airlines Susan G. Komen livery. I think they would look really great on the PMDG MD-11. FS9 versions would be helpful, too. Thanks for all your great work. Thanks again,Gabe PfeifferP.S. The Hawaiian repaints rock. Gabe Pfeiffer
October 24, 201015 yr Gabe (and others), I got a message earlier from Jim and unfortunately he is having some complications. I don't want to go into his personal health issues here since it's not my place but will just say that he has basically been ordered away from the computer, reading book, anything that may cause eye strain at the least. He has also mentioned he will try and break free here and there but don't think he'll be up for doing anymore paints anytime soon (and shouldn't).*If you happen to read this Jim, GET OFF your comp and put down the book!
