May 31, 201016 yr Hello, Regretably this is the only way I can figure out how to contact support at this time for folks at PMDG... Don't bother reading this unless you are rep. for them - it has no forum value what so ever. Sorry...Here is my deal...I puchased an $80 dollar package today from you guys on my holiday.New customer - paid via paypal. The download speed was terribly slow even though I have a 5m connection speed. Finally it timed out at 62.5m downloaded. had to quit and restart download. When I attempted this, System timed me out so it prompted me for my email address. For some reason my email address is not recognized in the system.?????? This has never happend to me before but I may have entered it 2x incorrectly. I received my paypal receipt and order number from PMDG successfully - but never received an email as new customer or receipt directly from PMDG. No big deal, these things happen. So the question is then, how do I get in touch with PMDG to help fix this?????? you have to have a valid email registered with your system to do this... So my first attempt didn't succeed so what now??? scratching my head (now 30 minutes of wasted time) I say "ahhh" I will just create a new customer ID so I can access the support system!!!!!!!! That will work!. Wrong! I registered my new ID but every time I login to access the support system I get an error saying "you have no previous orders" and no subsequent access to our support system. I would really like to get this software downloaded successfully quickly today. the download was noteably bandwidth starved. The support page was down -meaning i couldn't even access the page for over 20 minutes. Very frustrating. Please email me directly @ [email protected] and I will provide proof of purchase, payment and order number. My only suggestion is that is to give your clients a way to contact you directly for situations such as these as opposed to a public forum. The support ticket system is great, but what about situations such as these or when the page is down like it was today - the glitches. I don't think a public forum should be the next step. As a business owner myself, easy points of contact - to me - demonstrates a genuine goodwill and appreciation and respect for ones time and money. Respecfully,Richard
May 31, 201016 yr Hey Neighbor, logging into the support portal is a separate action from establishing a customer account on their ecommerce server. Go ahead and do that and post a trouble ticket. That is the only way you are assured of having direct contact with them. I have just verified that their web site is working too. Also, you should be able to log into your account on the commerce system using the email address and password you provided. Try that to see if the email address was correct. Once the account is open you should have access to the download link. Also, full names are used in this forum. Hope you get it sorted out soon. May 31, 201016 yr Commercial Member Richard-It seems like you are having a bad-computer day...I ran some bandwidth tests- and download speeds on the server are as expected. (They will vary dramatically during the course of the day depending upon your location etc blah blah blah...)Our technical support system is running normally...I looked up your account and found that you had opened TWO accounts. This likely leads to some of your confusion. One of the accounts used your proper email address, the other had a mis-spelling of your email address. The account that had the mis-spelling is the one you attributed the payment and purchase to. The end result is that unless you knew about the mis-spelling and were able to reproduce it- you weren't going to have any luck with this today.RESOLUTION:I deleted the duplicate account and corrected the email address on the account with your purchase in it. I have sent you a copy of your download link and this should arrive momentarily. If you require further assistance, please contact us via the support.precisionmanuals.com portal and someone will get back to you! Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
May 31, 201016 yr Thank you Robert & Dan.I suspected I entered incorrectly. I also did create another account to try to create a ticket. Your fix did allow me to login in and make another attempt at download.I appreciate your prompt response for sure.Thank you - Richard Hodge
