June 2, 201016 yr Hi everyone: I love the j-41. Unfortunately the rudders have stopped working. They work on all my other addons, but do not work on the j-41, just move a little bit, not even using the "0" "enter" keys with my rudder pedals disconnected. They register fine in the control panel in both FSX and FSUIPC, and elevators, ailerons in the j-41etc. work fine - the gust locks are disengaged . Any ideas? Thanks.(I added the MD11 a few days ago, could this be part of the problem?) Lon Duncombe Lon Duncombe CND4
June 2, 201016 yr Lon,Try turning off the Yaw Damper. It's on the pedestal next to the autopilot switch.Turning on the AP automatically engages the YD as well. The YD should be manually disengaged at all times when on the ground, and when descending through 200ft on the approach.

The rudder is 'locked' in a cold & dark situation - not exactly locked, flutters a bit but that's all, as if the gust lock is on. This is the only aircraft where this happens but it's my favourite!I've tried disabling FSX controls & reconfiguring FSUIPC and FSX but still the problem - obviously a conflicty of some kind. I'm operating SAITEK rudder pedals, but even when they are disconnected same problem. "0" and "enter" don't even work. One big frustrating mystery! :(Thanks for the tip. June 2, 201016 yr Hey Lon,Hmmm...and you said the gust lock is definitely off (and that the other control surfaces are free) right? Can you move both throttles forward at the same time?In the FSX controller setup, look for duplicate assignments in the "Mouse Look" and "Mouse Yoke" controllers. But then again, you said it's only the J41, so that's not likely to be it.Hopefully Ryan, or one of the other guys who has more experience with hardware can chime in.

But thanks again.Lon Duncombe Lon Duncombe CND4
June 3, 201016 yr Verify you have only one FSUIPC.dll file in your system. If you have more than one, regardless of location, it can trip up your I/O. Dan Downs KCRP

The glitch happened yesterday. For some reason my rudder pedals were assigned values for both rudders (in FSX) and ailerons (in FSUIPC). I crashed on takeoff, deleted the rudder entries from FSX, changed the aileron entries in FSUIPC to rudder, but rudder stopped working at that point. I rebooted with only mouse/keyboard but no luck.Lon DuncombeDell Quadcore 6600, 4 gig, win7 64 Lon Duncombe CND4
