FSX Sliders

Featured Replies

Hi, I'd like to have more planes on the ground at the airports, and its is my belief that one slider controlls the traffic on the ground and one that controlls the traffic in the air, I was wondering if anyone knows what slider controlls the traffic on the ground? Thanks in advance,Matt

There is No such control. There is only controls for commercial and GA traffic densityTraffic will be on the ground until it is time for it to take off (if you have sufficient parking for it to be on the ground)You may add additional (and customized) traffic if you want more on the ground. You can also add static aircraft (as scenery) to airports to enhance the area if you wish.Loyd

Matt - the fastest and easiest way is to purchase MyTrafficX 5.3. You will have more traffic of every type at every airfield airfield/airport that you visit or fly over. This is a "fire and forget" application, very reliable, easy interface, responds noticeably to slider changes, and is well supported by the author.http://secure.simmarket.com/mytraffic-x-cross-update.phtml

I would suggest ultimate traffic 2, it has dx10 support for aircraft liveries, that from what i know mytraffic doesn't. Also, Paul J your link you provided is incremental upgrade, that requires aerosoft MyTraffic2010 installed.

OK - here is the correct one then. Also - 5.10 does indeed have DX10 traffic - selectable DX10 or DX9, and also provides numerous years of vintage traffic - airlines and aircraft that no longer exist.http://secure.simmarket.com/b.-renk-mytraffic-x-pro.phtml

If payware is to your disliking, I would like to suggest the World of AI packages. The packages are separated between airlines and military forces, but should fill your airport with hundreds of aircraft (depending on the number of airlines you have installed). If you prefer DIY AI traffic though, there's also some AI models and flight plans available on the AVSIM Library. To make those planes work though, you'll need to have some utilities such as TTools to assign flight plans into different aircraft. However, if you assign the flight plans into any incorrect aircraft, your plane will fly into the wrong destinations!Yet if you choose to go payware, Traffic X is the final solution for you. Suprisingly, there's a feature in the package, that will make any of the available AI aircraft flyable (it will continue to serve as an AI aircraft though), particularly if that aircraft is the one you fancy. Note that the aircraft converted uses default panels and sounds, so if you would like to use some custom panels, you will have to re-configure the aircraft (the panel and sound CFG files, respectively).

gheeD, UT2 is packed with several nifty utlities that will ease your AI controlling, but the sole, and definitely large drawback of this package is the use of freeware AI models from TFS and AIA!
