June 12, 201015 yr Hi,I just bought the FS2Crew ans starting to learn, it's a bit different procedures to what I am usedbut slowly getting it.1) I have discovered that on climb out there's no calls for flaps up speed from F/O. Is this just an airline call or is it something left out?2) On both flights F/O have opened ctr fuel tanks although they are empty. Is this standard?RegardsMatts Falck Matts Falck

Other airlines of course may do things differently.I'll check into the center tanks with my Maddog consultant.Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord

Is this just an airline call or is it something left out?As in the F/O setting the Vman for flaps 0/EXT in the speed readout? If so, you are supposed to set 250 (or a restrictive speed if applicable) in the FGCP in the pre-flight. Unless of course, you plan to climb at Max Angle; then you will set the Vminman (Flaps 0/RET) according to the speed card. Ed OcampoStaff ReviewerAVSIM Online[email protected]Fly DC Jets
June 18, 201015 yr Author Hi,1) I must have loaded the plane with fuel in CTR-tanks, becuase if I start FS2 crew with no fuel in CTR tanks the problem disappear2) Yes, I meant that the F/O should make a verbal readout for Flapsup and slats retract speeds on cimb out. Bu it seems tat this is a airline specific operation.3) I must say that it is strange that altimeter settings are not a part of the check-listAll in all I must say that I enjoy this program very much, and I use it every time I go MD-flying! June 20, 201015 yr Hi Matts,Longtime not seen you on the forums... I remember you from the time I was using easygauge to make my MD80 panel for FS. :( 1) Did I understand correctly? is that fuel pump issue gone for you? As I was testing that and could not find any issue... everything was working correctly.2) Concerning the Vflaps & Vslats during climbout, that is basically a procedure that is used in my company. "silent flight deck" philosophy. Same as you can see with checklist work when inflight (many silent items).I know that what you are speaking about is the way it is done in many companies. And in my opinon that would have been much nicer to have it that way, and I initially planned to introduce it that way to Bryan, but didn't do so for a simple reason: it might be very complicated to program that, and make it look realistic. If I remember well it is not possible to read the values of the white speed bugs in the ASI. And Vflaps/Vslats speeds vary according weight. That's mainly the reason for it.But the way it is simulated is as valid procedure as any other existing one.Hope I have answered your concerns.Kind regards,Samuli
June 27, 201015 yr Author Hi Samuli,Thanks for the reply. Yeah, now I remember from Easygauge forum, we were doing the DC-9 panel and you the MD80. Looong time ago... ;-)I only know procedures from SAS, there they have the flaps up spd call out (PNF) after passing acceleration height (3000 ft)then when flaps are up they call for slats up spd, and at the end, clean spd.Another question, isn't there any altimeter checks, on climb & descent check lists?RegardsMatts Hi Matts,Longtime not seen you on the forums...
