FSX Crash when flying MD11

Featured Replies

This just won't go away and it's driving me nuts. It only seems to happen if you try to make FMGS changes at critical flight stages... such as inserting a STAR when diverting after a G/A etc...This is the error message I get from windows:Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61472.0 Application Timestamp: 475e17d3 Fault Module Name: SimConnect.dll Fault Module Version: 10.0.61637.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 46fad5b6 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00001f8b OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 2057 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789I'm sure I'm not the only one having this problem. Lots of people are talking about CDTs with the MD11. This problem does not occur when flying the 74X!Help very much appreciated!Best Regards,Martin Neep

I tell you the truth, I would have never thought to reprogram the existing route after a missed approach/go around with a STAR. Really? Maybe you should try the procedures for New Destination starting on page FMS.80.1.You have reached the end of your flightplan route when you go around or miss the approach or divert enroute (which is the most realistic scenario). Try diverting enroute to an alternate and learn how to do that with the FMS before you try to start a new route after the approach segment, which is a little more interesting.

If you can say exactly what you did and where, I'll try it here to see if I see the same thing. As Dan says, inserting a new destination is interesting. :) Best regards,Robin.
