June 15, 201015 yr I fly a route as many times as it takes to get it just right. So far, the Seattle to Vancouver flight has been flown four times. I have used the Pilatus P12 twice and the Beechcraft Duke twice. Flights are IFR using VOR to VOR with planned flight level of 6,000 feet (twice) and 9,000 feet (twice). Here is what happened: two flights went reasonably well although I never could get clearance to the flight plan altitude. Both times I was flying a heading of 005 to intercept the ILS for Runway 26. At 30 miles out control vectored me 280 degrees. then turned me NNE on a heading directly for the airport. At 10 miles I was cleared to the glideslope for rwy 26. No way could it be intercepted on this track.Third flight: At 30 miles I was told to take up heading of 280. Never heard from anyone again.Today: Cleared for Rwy 34L at KSEA but when I got there the directions indicted that I was in the wrong place. Moved over to 34C and was cleared for takeoff. At about 1200 feet changed freqs and was immediately told that I was supposed to be at 4000 ft. Climbing at 1500fpm the nags kept coming. Throughout the entire flight I was continually told that my altitude was wrong even though it was never more than 20 feet off. Altimeter setting was maintained to correct settings. At Vancouver Approach control gave me one vector and never spoke again except to tell me that I was supposed to be at 4000ft (I was).I went ahead and did an ILS approach without any clearance. The only contacts from RC4 were the cautions that I was not at the assigned altitude of 4000 ft. Neal Howard
June 15, 201015 yr Make sure you have rebuilt the RC scenery database. Makerwys.exe version 4.41 or better should be in your FS folder. Make sure you have the current version of FSUIPC for your version of FS installed. Links are at the forum top.A log will tell all. To picture your departure and arrival plus distance you should also post your route for each instance. Also, if you are using FS9, look for any duplicate add-on afcad files for the airports concerned. Basically there should be a stock default layer, then another layer for the add-on scenery. We'll get more into that if need be.I just want to insure RC gets the correct location of your aircraft and scenery. If you have the comms make sure there are no unacknowledged commands (No ack on the menu) otherwise RC could stall.
