June 24, 201015 yr Hi all,After installing Radar Contact this week I get strange things happening on startup of fs9. First, no splash screen and no startup, yet fs9.exe appears in Task Manager along withrundll32.exe at 50% cpu usage. Then when starting a second time, fs9 starts up fine, and I end up with two fs9.exe in Task Manager along with the rundll32.exe task at 50%. I'm running fs9.1 on Win 7 64-bit.Anyone else experienced similar issues?thanks in advance

June 25, 201015 yr Author HelloProbably better to ask in the dedicated Radar Contact forum further down the hallThanks for the suggestion, but I just uninstalled RCv4 and still have the same problem, so might be coincidence that the problem started when I installed RC this week.Below is a screenshot of my Task Manager. I can delete the smaller fs9.exe task and the rundll32, and then carry on as normal, but this shouldn't be happening obviously. Been running fs9.1 for years now without snags until now...

June 25, 201015 yr Author Thanks, I ran a registry clean-up tool along with Spy-bot which cleared up the problem. Could've been a malicious rundll32 file somewhere that was screwing things up.

December 18, 201015 yr After trying everything - SpyBot etc and even reinstalling FS9 - with no luck, I went back to the internet and found the very simple answer on another games site. Go into the Win 7 Games Folder/Options and check "Never check on line for updatesHi all - I had the same problem as well. It only manifested itself when I moved my sim PC to another room which meant I couldn't have it connected to the internet. I tried a number of things suggested in this and other forums, however the only thing that worked for me was to remove the registry entries that related to the gameux.dll dependancies. In my case the problem was linked to the Windows 7 Game Explorer which loops itself trying to find information and box art when an internet connection is not present - unchecking the options didn't help. This did:Delete any entires under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameUX.................. Just leave Games and MachineSettings in there................I hope this helps..........Mat
