Hi folks,After the buffer pools tweak I've actually been getting fairly reasonable FPS in FSX, so I'm back to fiddling with it a bit. I've never been a big VC fan as I find they are awful to navigate around. However, seems many FSX products are VC only, so I'm going to need a better way of getting around the VC. I'm not yet ready to start paying for FSX add-ons, though, so some freeware solutions would be most helpful. Thanks in advance...- daniel

The cheapest and quickest solution to looking around the cockpit is using the default mouse view [shift + O].If you eventually change your mind about springing for some payware ECZA is the way to go. Well worth the money.

Great, thanks.I'll most likely start buying FSX software when I buy a new computer, just to reduce the hassles with reinstalling payware on a new machine. BTW looks like you're in my neck of the woods (I'm from Toronto)... what rig are you using for your FSX setup and where'd you get it?- daniel

The best way to get around the VC is to use TRackIR. I also hated the VC, but when I finally got on board with TIR, I can't fly without it. Very easy to zoom in and out of a gauge or switch when you click it and then go back to normal. If you want to fly with the VC, it's the only way to go.Vic
