1. Would it be possible to add the ability to ask the controller for the altimeter. I know we can go off-channel for weather but A) that isn't always the same as the controller uses and :( it's a lot to listen to when all I want is the altimeter. I've had several cases where the altimter changes drastically and I show I'm OK on altitude but he's screaming I'm not. When he finally gives me the altimeter it's a change of 500 feet or more. This also happens when resuming a flight. For some reason the altimiter doesn't match his and he's upset. This function should be accessible from about any phase - departure, enroute, approach.2. Is there a way to change how long the controller waits until he comes back again telling me to change frequency. It seems like less than 10 seconds delay and he's complaining I haven't changed yet. Well, no - in some cases Michelle of IYP didn't do what I told her, in others I'm working on it <G>!Maybe we need the ability to tell the controller - I'm busy flying and will get to it and he backs off for a while <G>.Thanks.

You can already ask for an altimeter check in V4.3, it's in the menu options, sometimes second or third page.I heard V5.0 is going to have a different system of reminding you to change frequency.

2) i can guarantee you it's more than 10 seconds.1) i'll check.

As far as number 2 goes, Radar Contact is VERY realistic I find in regards to the frequencies. If you don't respond in the real world within a few seconds, you WILL get barked at. (I fly into the LA airspace to John Wayne and you have to be on your toes as the controllers do not want to be tied up with someone that can't communicate well.) If you don't respond they don't know if you even heard them and then they have to start worrying about getting everybody away from you so you don't cause an incident.Again, in the real word, you will get "yelled" at quicker for not communicating that for an immediate turn of climb/descent (at least from what I run into). If you are too busy flying by yourself, set up the auto reply option in Radar Contact until you get the hang of it.John

and turn off pre-recorded chatter, and fly at 1xjd

Well, I haven't found it yet <G>. While flying enroute I tried the other menus and never found it.

Well, 5-10 seconds is a little short. I've flown Atlanta, Dallas, New York, Chicago and some others and was given a little more time than that. I do use Otto to do comms. However, this is a simulator so it doesn't always respond like the real thing and it would be nice to have the ability to get more time if we don't want to get that real <G>. It would be like the altitude deviation that we can adjust.

Prerecorded is off and I fly at 1X also.
