June 30, 201015 yr For those that are interested SDS have upgraded their forums to support the Yak 40 and their Vampire. There's a lot of interesting stuff including pictures from Igor's A320 training in Toulouse and from his young cadet days learning to fly the Yak 40. there's also advice on how to enjoy the Yak 40, eg:http://www.suprunovdesign.com/forums/viewt...p?f=14&t=17I'm not in any way associated with Igor's company but freely admit to unashamedly plugging the Yak 40, one of my favourite FS9 products. I hope I'm not breaking any rules. Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
June 30, 201015 yr Nothing wrong with pointing out some useful stuff for an FS product, especially one with Cyrillic markings on the dials! And in the case of the Suprunov Yak-40, I'd unashamedly plug it too, since it is one of the best aircraft you can get for FS9, and is in fact a good contender for the number one slot in FS9 add-on aircraft as far as I'm concerned. Tougher than most on frame rates of course, but well worthy of a place in anyone's FS9 hangar.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

June 30, 201015 yr only thing I dislike is that you can's save the panel. For the rest, this is a marval of Russian software design ;-) Benjamin van Soldt Windows 10 64bit - i5-8600k @ 4.7GHz - ASRock Fatality K6 Z370 - EVGA GTX1070 SC 8GB VRAM - 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX @ 3200MHz - Samsung 960 Evo SSD M.2 NVMe 500GB - 2x Samsung 860 Evo SSD 1TB (P3Dv4/5 drive) - Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM - Seasonic FocusPlus Gold 750W - Noctua DH-15S - Fractal Design Focus G (White) Case

Igor is working on a FSX version of this plane, which, I dare say, might be even better than the current incarnation of the plane. July 1, 201015 yr The SDS Yak-40 is indeed an awesome aircraft and deserves far more attention and recognition. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes a challenge or if you're looking for something a little bit different. The panel layout and the fact that all the instrumentation is in Russian made my head spin at first but the excellent documentation that comes with it soon has you up and running.Definitely worthy of a place in anyone's hanger :(
July 1, 201015 yr The SDS Yak-40 is indeed an awesome aircraft and [snip] definitely worthy of a place in anyone's hangerCouldn't agree more, a cracking wee plane. Since we're on about it anyway ... when i re-installed the Yak-40 from my Simmarket download, I get the following error message when selecting the plane from FS9E:\Games\FS9\Aircraft\SD_Yak40\panel\sd_yak40_6015_v2_pa.gau' contained a virus or unwanted program 'TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen2' [trojan]Simmarket where quick to reply that it was a "false-positive" and to ignore the warning, but before I do (or don't, i've not decided yet) I was wondering if anyone here has seen such a similar error?
