FS9 sound off after loadsheet call

Featured Replies

For some reason, after the FA says "here is the load sheet for you", the sound is toggled off in FS9. Not FS2Crew, FS9 itself. Nothing is conflicting and I can't figure this one out. Any clues?-Rick

Hello Rick,Never heard of that one before. What key assignment is connected to your 'mute FS sounds' command? I think it's Q by default. Best,

Yes, it's 'Q' which is the default. Don't have one defined for FS2C, but I don't think that matters does it?-Rick

Hi Rick,There's no "turn sound off" button used in FS2Crew.Try updating/refreshing your audio drivers. Also try hitting Q twice... sometimes that can get your sound back.Cheers,

Think I may have figured it out. I was reading thru the docs (again) to check on setup. I didn't see anywhere in there that the Voice Recognition part of Windows was not to be running. I thought it DID have to be running for FS2C to work. Stumbled on the fact that it didn't on accident. Seems that the Winblows voice rec was arguing with the FS2C voice rec and giving conflicting actions. About to make another flight and see if it is still working ok. Really wish there was a flow chart with the PMDG 737 tho. The way it's laid out across 5 different appendixes makes it difficult to follow correctly -Rick

Hi Rick,Check the Avsim file library. There may be a PMDG 737 flow chart in there. My users are always writing stuff.Windows Voice Recognition: It must be "OFF" before you start FS2Crew.Cheers,

Trust me, I've already looked for the flow, but the only one there was for the PIC. That's ok. I'll either create my own when I get my next day off or wait until someone else comes up with one. BTW, the sound prob was fixed and it WAS the conflict between the two.-Rick
