Until now, I've had practically no problems with the MD-11, however after taking a break from flight simulator for a few months, I came back to this:I'm used to seeing red crosses when certain systems are shut off, but never these green crosses. Everything has become inoperative; overhead, screens, FMC - nothing works. I'm going to try reinstalling it, but I was wondering whether any of you guys have ever come across this?It seems whenever I leave FSX unused for more than a week something goes wrong :(*EDIT*The green crosses appear moments after initialization, as opposed to any other information which gradually fades in.

You are having a problem with authenication Louis. Try reinstalling the MD11, which should reset your validation.

Cheers, re-installing has fixed the problem :(

I get this issue ocassionly. It only seems to happen when I flare to land at about 20-40 ft and only rarely maybee if I reinstall it might stop happening. I think I have to do this anyway as the 11 won't load anymore. I think it's a problem with a dll file after installing a wilco addon (airbus series 1) I'm dreading it as then I will have yo reinstall all the liveries.

Hehe yeah reinstalling liveries is a complete pain. I don't own the JS4100 so I don't know how they supplied the liveries, but either way I hope there's an option with the NGX to install them all in one go :(Regards

Luckily I haven't had to reinstall liveries for a lonnng time (several installs). I now just make it a point to also back up my ....\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes folder, then after I've reinstalled everything else I just plop it in place :( Saves me boatloads of time.
