July 15, 201015 yr Hi GuysI have just reinstalled FSX as one of my drives failed. Now, whenever i start FSX, the 2D panel is always too small for the screen. You can see what i mean in the screenshot.I have never seen this problem before and its driving me nuts! :-) Everytime is start a flight i have to hope it lets me resize it. I use FSX in a maximised window mode (not full screen) if that helps.I have tried correcting the size and saving it as a defaul flight, changing my screen resolution around, switching between full screen and windowed mode, but i cant fix it! Has anyone seen this before? Thanks for any input on this!ScreenshotYou can see the top right corner is in the wrong place. Adrian Burley London, UK

July 15, 201015 yr Author I too have this problem any insight would be helpfulThanksBrandon ElamDo you have 2 screens? If so, i think iv found a solution: Open FSX, and drag to the other monitor (the one with the taskbar). Maximise. Exit FSX, and start it again. Move back to the other screen, then maximise. This should fix it. Did for me. If you have on screen, try taking it out of maximised, and make the whole thing smaller instead of moving monitors.I dont know why this works, but it might reset the graphics settings it has or something. Looking good now tho. Adrian Burley London, UK

December 4, 201114 yr Go to the load manager and set the panel to wide screenSteve is correct, however if you do that be sure to run the load manager as administrator or it may not write to your apps roaming files (regardless of where FSX is installed).Alternately you can write this edit in yourself. Just open your fsx.cfg and set your "WideViewAspect=" to "True". Not sure if it matters on the MD11, but you may also need to change your "PANEL_STRETCHING=" value from 1 to 0. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
December 5, 201114 yr Yes i know. You have to start the load manager in admin modus but this is not the problem. And it makes no different if you fly in normal or widescreenmodus! You have to load the md 11 two times than the panel has got the right size! Look at my tread "panel size" where i post a screenshot! Thanks
December 8, 201114 yr Author Dan's solutions works great as well. For some reason when i had that problem, it went away itself. Weeeeird! :) Adrian Burley London, UK
