The 480 easily - dual-GPU cards like the 5970 don't produce much of a performance benefit in FSX and the image quality is better on the 480 too.

No worries. Yep, it's as good as it sounds. If you are looking at a new videocard, or anything else upgrade wise, check it out. Not everything qualifies for cashback, but there is definitely a good amount of items that are. :(

Hi Ryan, I'm sure you are busy on another forum right now with support for that excellent bird that you guys have created. :) But in case you see this, I am looking for a GPU with a mini display port on it, and searched here and came upon this post from last year. I currently have a GTX 460 1MB. My first question would be how would the 5970 compare to the 460 that I have (I see some negative comments when comparing to the 480), and do you know of another GPU that has the mdp format output? Thanks- still looking for a monitor worthy of that NGX :) Bruce.
