A little help please?

Ok, so my graphics are playing up... any help and/or advice?I accessed the menu to do an instant reply, upon resuming I get the sounds as normal but the graphics are all screwed and had to quit FSX which was most annoying.Anyone able to shed light on why this is and what I can do to stop it?Many thanks in advance.Adam

This only with FSX?Could it be a heat issue? Your sig doesn't suggest you're overclocked, but if you are, try undoing that. Take the side off, see if airflow helps.Reinstall the driver? Or rollback if you have installed a new one.Try lower settings for graphics?Just throwing ideas in. Doesn't quite look like anything I've seen, I'm afraid. But would be consistent with an overstressed machine, I suspect.Good luck!

I only use FSX, Paul.I overclocked my CPU a few weeks ago and did quite a bit of testing and so far have it running at 3.6Ghz from 3.2. It's on stock cooler and I'm aware I do need to upgrade the cooler however the temps have been doing ok. I also increased the number of fans on the case too so there is a faster airflow through the case, faster than before anyway. I also tidied all the cables up inside to give better airflow. I'll drop back the settings and see what effect this has. I haven't touched the graphics drivers for some time; all present and correct.I'll have a go at undoing my overclock settings tomorrow to see how this fairs and will report back. Thanks for the suggestions, Paul.Adam

My guess is when you OCed your system, FSX is now sending to your graphics card too fast, so you will have to re-balance your graphics settings. Maybe this is an autogen issue? Might try playing with the autogen per cell setttings.scott s..

First I would be deleting the gpu's driver, then using Drive Sweeper to clean the PC of any driver remnants, Then download a fresh or and updated driver from nVidia. Check the cooling at the same time. If it happens again - then downclock to default and see what happens.
