July 27, 201015 yr Hi.Just got Radar Contact 4.3 for FS9. So set up everything like the manual says. But my question is, Radar contact will not have control over my AI for Traffic 2004. The AI stick to the FS9 ATC and it becomes confusing while i'm trying to talk to ATC and the AI are doing it at the exact same time. Is this normal?Stephen

Is this normal?Stephendownload the latest version of makerwys.exe, topic pinned to the top of the forum. unzip it into the root firestory of fs9. start rc, and click the rebuild rc scenery database. also, check to make sure "interact with ai" is checked in the options screen.jd JD Read my blog
July 27, 201015 yr Leave FS9 ATC enabled in its settings but turn down the in the FS9 Audio Mixer ATC sound. This will prevent your audio confusion. Also turn off PreRecorded chatter in your RC options. With interact with AI on you'll hear AI chatter on the same frequency you are tuned to. RC4's AI ground control is limited to freezing AI close to the runway to prevent AI runway encroachment when you are on your last five miles or so of final. jd's recommendation to rebuild the RC scenery database with the latest makerwys (do it from with RC and be sure to enter each time the correct path to FS9's folder) insures that RC can correctly match your aircraft position to your runway coordinates and length. Also on the same link download the latest FSUIPC.If you get an atc.dll error from FS add this statement to the General section of FSUIPC.ini (after placing a backup copy in a folder other then modules):RemoveATC=YesThis will not prevent FS AI control.
July 27, 201015 yr Author I've downloaded the latest the latest makerwys (4.4.1.0) and the latest FSUIPC (3.9.8.0) and did the rebuild of RC scenery. Also, I made sure "interact with AI" was ticked. But when i'm taxing out to the runway, the a/c infront of me will not line up on the runway when direct to do so, they just turn on all lights and stay there without ever moving. I've tried looking for a solution to this but nothing is coming up. Any ideas?
July 28, 201015 yr All airports? Any specific add-on sceneries?Any other add-ons running such as AI Smooth or AI Separator to space out arrivals? There are two work arounds. If you have FSUIPC registered for FS9 you can implement its "Traffic Zapper" to get rid of an aircraft in front of you.If you have again the registered version you can set up a traffic density toggle to take it down to zero and then back to your desired percent. This will restart/refresh your AI. With out a registered FSUIPC just advance the FS time by one minute to refresh AI.These steps are not realistic but they can get you unstuck in back of a stalled AI.If you can recreate this as indicated at the forum top start a log taking you to the runway taxi entrance behind an AI and if the AI gets a line up and wait but does not move within a reasonable time quit RC, rename the log file in the RC folder and send it in for jd to examine.
