July 28, 201015 yr In the normal procedures it says to check the CG CALCULATOR to DETERMINE FINAL INDEX AND ELEV TRIM. I can not find such a calculator. Please help. Thanks,Lynn Lynn Fisher
July 29, 201015 yr Author OK, I see it. Now I go to the Elevator Trim and in the green are numbers. When I rotate the trim wheel. The tips tells me the pitch up or down in a percentage. The start index is 23.5 and the trim is 27.1 on the CG Calculator. I have searched the PDF's and don't see how this is to be set. "Set the elevator trim to the % SMC (standard mean cord) as calculated on the CG Calculator or as received on the AFIS." How do I interpret the numbers? Thanks,Lynn Lynn Fisher
July 29, 201015 yr I belive that if final trim is 27.1 on weigh sheet that's what you're suppose to set on trim wheel. There's a scale just next to it. Greg
July 29, 201015 yr The final trim depends on the weight and how this weight is allocated throughout the plane. The maximum possible, according to AOM is 32.68. You should set on your trim wheel the value that CG CALCULATION states. At least, I think it's that way, I'm not a pilot ;)I hope it does have any grammar sense and someone can understand it ;)
