July 28, 201015 yr Commercial Member I'm guessing MD-11, since that's your forum handle. For the MD-11, airways must be entered on the airway subpage of the LATREV page. UL980 is an airway, so enter it in that manner. 01500W appears to be a half of a LAT/LON position. You would need the Latitude included to enter it into the system, and it would use the form of N0000.0/W00000.0 (if you forget the format, look at the top of the LATREV page, and it'll show you the coordinates of the current airport/navaid/fix in the correct number format.Cheers,Kyle Kyle Rodgers
July 28, 201015 yr Commercial Member Slightly different.For the 747, airways are entered directly on the ROUTE page, on the left side.e.g.For flight plan of BUFFR J518 IHD J518 DJB PMM J70 BAE, you would enter:(Left Side) - - - (Right Side)[DIRECT] - - - - BUFFRJ518 - - - - - - - IHDJ518 - - - - - - - DJB[DIRECT] - - - - PMMJ70 - - - - - - - - BAE([DIRECT] is a placeholder, and the identifier is placed directly onto the right side using the appropriate right side LSK)For Lat/Lon formats, I've forgotten (I just re-purchased the Queen last night for use with FSX, having abandoned FS9), but I think it's of the form:N00W000It's in the FMS guide towards the end, I think.Kyle Kyle Rodgers
July 28, 201015 yr Do I assume correctly you took those waypoints from flightaware.com? They usually put an extra space between the LAT/LON waypoints,i.e. 5900N 04000W should be 5900N04000W etc. Also since airways are rather long sometimes, you will not always follow them all the way. You need to define entry and exit points. Here is how to accomplish this on the PMDG 747 and MD11:Imagine you want to fly along airway UL602, starting at waypoint SUPUR until you exit at the TLA VOR.Instead of entering all intermediate waypoints you would use the following method:On the 747:Select the ROUTE page.Enter SUPUR on the scratchpad and confirm with LSK 1R (assuming you start at the top of the page)Then enter UL602 and confirm with LSK 2LFinally enter TLA and confirm with LSK 2RWhen selecting VORs, like TLA in this example, multiple entries for the same waypoint may pop up.The FMS wants you to decide which waypoint is the correct one. Usually its the first one in the list. The ROUTE page should then look like this:via.......................... toDIRECT....................SUPURUL602......................TLAHowever if you switch to the LEGS page you can see that the FMS has automatically filled in all the intermediate waypoints for you. Neat!On the MD11:Select the F-PLAN pageEnter SUPUR and confirm with correct LSKThen select SUPUR by pushing the same LSK againSelect AIRWAYEnter UL602 on the left andenter TLA on the right sideSelect *INSERT with correct LSKAgain the FMS fills in all intermediate waypoints for you.The easiest way to enter LAT/LON waypoints looks like this:For 5900N04000W just enter 5940N.
