How do I edit my post

Featured Replies

Hi fellow PMDG fans, I noticed that I have made grammatical errors, and spelling mistakes which look really bad on some of the post I have made. Is it possible to edit your post? There seems to be a cut off time were post are not editable?Or I could just take a bit more time to look at my post before posting. :(

Hehe, yeah I need to spend more time re-reading them as well. There is an editable time on posts of 1 hour. After that only admin and staff can edit it. It has nothing to do with someone posting after yours. I edit mine all the time after such events. 1 hour, 60 minutes or 3,600 seconds. Whichever you prefer :(

We do that deliberately. Every forum mod, including me, are English as a secondary language teachers. That is, except for David, who is lingual in more languages than I have fingers. We deliberately set a period for you to edit your post. I argued for two minutes, and obviously I lost the vote. Why a period to edit? Well, if you cannot get it right the first time, then 60 minutes is more than sufficient to improve your post (and your public image). If you need more than 60 minutes and you have to appeal to a mod to correct your bone-head mistakes, then it is extra income for us... How do you think I can afford to fill my gas tank once a week (whether I need it or not)?Bottom line... If you can't get it right in 60 minutes, then you deserve all the public humiliation and scorn that will be heaped upon you by our otherwise sympathetic and caring community.I also have a bridge that I would like to discuss with you.

That is the only reason I agreed to mod-I get more time for my mistakes-which now are more not from a lack of spelling/grammar but from a lack of being able to see close up due to fogged reading glasses/poor closeup eyesight!
