Decoding C+ Gauges?

Featured Replies

Is there any way to decode C+ gauges? If not is there a way to remove certain gauges from a C+ multi gauge? I have a gauge that I believe has certain included gauges that are not FSX compatible. I'd like to strip these out, if possible. FSPanelStudio allows reading the gauge and showing each of the included gauges. Thanks, regards, Bob.

Hi BobYou can't 'decode' C(++) gauges without the use of very expensive decompilers. The best you can do here is to remove the panel.cfg entry for any given part of the multigauge that you do not wish to see. In theory, this should stop FS9 code upsetting FSX but I've never had to try this and I'm not sure if deleting the panel entry causes FS to skip the subgauge or whether it still loads it but just doesn't display it. I bet Bill knows though... :( -Dai

If any sub-gauge isn't explicitly called for in the panel.cfg file, it never gets loaded...

Hi Bill. OK. Thanks. I did not know that. I thought the whole gauge got loaded. I'll try that. Best regards, Bob.
