August 2, 201015 yr Hey everyone! I just wanted to know if you had to launch the GEX program and install the textures etc everytime you launch FSX. And when you do install them, that's all you do right? Just install and launch the game and all the default stuff will be replaced by GEX stuff? Oh and, how do you know if GEX is working?I also wanted to know if you had to install the flight environment X clouds, water, etc... everytime you go to launch fsx or do you just install it once and you're set? Thanks in advance for your help.

The only other thing you need to be aware of is if you do change anything, and you want the 'high rez' textures, you need to go into your fsx.cfg and change this line to 4096:TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 in the 'Graphix' section, default is 1024. August 2, 201015 yr The REX configuration panel will automatically change TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD to equal 4096. Only use this setting if you are using HD textures. Setting TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 can greatly affect system performance. I happen to only use 1024 textures because they look more life like to me in FSX hence TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=1024 in my fsx.cfg.Regards,Bob
