August 13, 201015 yr happy friday everyone, well I am in the middle if a tedious reinstall on my fs9, and i thought it would be a good time to up my experience within fs9. I was just wondering if REX is a good program for real world weather, or should i just stick with Active sky?I have yet to purchase REX but am seriously considering it, but am very curious as to how good the real world weather is, Im not questiong the textures for clouds, as they look amazing but just the real world weather feature.ThanksP.S I must say that I really like active sky, mainly because of the their customer support (The best I have received on any of my add-ons to date), And if I do switch over to REX I have no regrets on my active sky purschase, I just wanted to mention that. August 13, 201015 yr I'm a little rusty but I believe they are two different animals... Active Sky is a weather simulator while REX is a graphics package... I would suspect they complement each other very well - if you get both... I'm also trying to get my fresh install of FS9 up to speed - LOL - it takes forever - right ??? I'm still running Active Sky 6.5...Regards,Scott

Im hoping it will run a little smoother than it did, It seems to get cluttered up pretty quickly so im gonna "TRY" and run a "lean" fs9 if you will however with the abundance of magnificent free and payware add-ons, it is very hard to keep it "Lean".thanks for your reply, I was pretty certain that rex was a weather generator also, but i could have been mistaken. Thanks again. August 13, 201015 yr REX does indeed have a weather generator. What I do though is use REX textures with ASE weather and I'm very happy with the results. I'd recommend both products for FS9. Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
August 13, 201015 yr Author Ok thanks for the replies, Ill try using the combination of both as I already have as 6.5. I was just debating installing only one as to keep my fs9 as small as possible.thanks again.P.sIs that your aircaft in your sig Scott???
