August 13, 201015 yr Hi all,I purchased RC this morning and I am very excited to give it a whirl tonight (currently stuck at work.) I was told there are add-ons to this add-on to improve voices, does anyone know where I can download said add-ons? Anything else I can download to complement RC?Thanks,
August 13, 201015 yr There are some voice edit things on Avsim's file library, but to be fair, it's pretty good straight out of the box in my opinion, not that mine had a box since I bought the download, but you know what I mean.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
August 13, 201015 yr Author Awesome stuff! Her Brittanic Majesty's Kingdom of EnglandshireIs this really an actual location or just a joke? Because it's kickass.
August 13, 201015 yr Hirgab the voicepacks you seek are here at Avsim search "Meatwater" there you will find the files. I believe there are 10 you need to DL. look for "MeatWater VocPack for Radar Contact 4 VERSION 2" Also note that it does not matter if it says for fs2004 it works the same in FSX.
August 13, 201015 yr Welcome to Radar Contact. After your install and registration please update FSUIPC and makerwys from the links in the pinned topic above, then redo the Scenery Rebuild from within RC even though you did it during installation. The FS9 and FSX version of makerwys is the same. You can insure that makerwys is 4.41 or better by going into your FS folder, right clicking on it, and check the version number in the properties. If you are using VISTA or Win 7 you'll need to have admin rights for installation and set the RC installer to run as admin. Once installed set up a short cut to RC and set its advanced properties to run as admin so security features in these versions of Windows do not inhibit RC access to your personal folder for flight plans nor your FS folder used for several applications including access to FSUIPC. See the pinned topics on Error 75 and Error 713 on the forum top.If you are an Active Sky Enhanced in FSX user read that topic also at the forum top about limitations. Finally, reading the tutorials and flying some of these will answer many of your questions. In addition in the RC manual for version 4.3 read the sections written by beta testers on using STARS and SIDs.If you are using advanced FMC or GPS navigation equipment that includes terminal procedures search this forum for STAR, SID, and FMC. AVSIM's new search facility works with just three characters now, happily. These topics cover how to match waypoints for your navigation system and RC so it can work along with RC ATC.If you use the Ultimate Traffic 2 add-on for FSX be sure your aircraft spawning radius is set at least 40 nm or more so RC can see the proper AI patterns at your destination. RC gives first priority under approach runway assignment to the patterns of AI at that time.I hope these suggestions help into a smooth transition into RC's advanced ATC application.
