August 15, 201015 yr Hi everyone,I had a small rant in mind:I don't know if it's just me or not, but I feel as if the sim doesn't accurately convey the illusion of altitude. For example, in the real world, when cruising at 38000 feet, you are so high up, above so many cloud layers and such, and the ground just seems like a distant green quilt. In FSX, you can still see every airport and patch of landscape as clear as though you are just a couple thousand feet above it. REX's low-level fog helps somewhat, but it still feels much lower than FL380.Any opinions? Thanks! August 15, 201015 yr have a play with the visability layers in the weather menu. You can get some interesting effects, e.g,Visability 0 to 2000 feet 30 milesOvercast 8/8 layer cloud 2000 to 4000 feetvisability 2000 to 4000 feet nilvisability 4000 feet to 40000 feet 40 miles. That's pretty realistic.IAN Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
