Hi!I am not able to find Chena Marina or any other acenery add ons in the Fairbanks area to make it nicer to explore with a float plane. Are there any? There used to be pretty good add ons in FS2002 or 2000, but none for the FSX. The default Fairbanks area is quite poor.

Fairbanks, Alaska?I highly recommend Flight1's Ultimate Alaska.

I'm using UTX Alaska. It's pretty decent.

3rd positive nod for Ultimate Alaska as well. Just flew into PAFA couple of days ago from PALR (Chandalar Lake) in the Carenado Caravan.Joe

I'll 4th UTX Alaska. I live in Anchorage and can say its pretty accurate and I really enjoy flying in Alaska now. From flying heavies between Fairbanks-Anchorage-Seattle to the JS4100 between Valdez and Anchorge and all the bush/float plane flying in between its a blast. I can't comment about the smaller towns/places around Fairbanks tho cuz I haven't checked it out much. For an example, Whittier is great, but Willow is just OK. Anchorage/Mat Su and Fairbanks will drop your fps so I'd reccomend an oc'd i7/gtx480 and it will work good. Also, there's a user interface to make it less demanding but its best maxed out of course. :( The screen shots are flying between Fairbanks and Anchorage and over Anchorage Approaching Merrill Field.

Here's a few photos; it doesnt look like chena has a marina according to http://www.airnav.com/airport/AK28 :( Took a few of Fairbanks and the Chena river for ya. They did a damn good job overall, they had a LOT of area to cover so they didnt cover every little airport in great detail. Still, it's the best out there by far.As an example of more detailed scenery, and excellent for float plane flying, is the Tongass X addon which covers southeast Alaska. Check out the screenshots here- http://secure.simmar...-fjords-x.phtml I highly recommend both. Southeast AK is sweet for flying float planes and I think it was made with that in mind. Just remember to put Tongess X on top of UTAlaska in the scenery library. Edit, sorry about the first pic being to dark, I was checking out the new REX textures.
