September 10, 201015 yr Commercial Member What would you guys say if I am gonna get 8GB of RAM (dual-channel for AMD system):2 sticks of 4GB or4 sticks of 2GBWould I even notice a difference?Do boards have more trouble working with 2 bigger sticks or more smaller sticks? What about those latency numbers? Go for all matching numbers like 9-9-9-X or just find the lowest like 10-9-7-XShould I go with a higher speeds like DDR3 2000 so I have headroom? Or stick with DDR3 1600 and just overclock maybe?Leaning towards 2x4 but to work with the Asus Crosshair IV AM3 motherboard but haven't got clue as to what manufacture?Any input, ideas, comments most appreciated.Clutch Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)
