September 11, 201015 yr Does anyone here get involved with small aircraft painting? All I see are posts about jet liners and it makes me think almost that Avsim readers are only interested in these. September 11, 201015 yr Hi Chris ,Normally speaking I paint Cessnaá and Pipers ( have most of Carenado's planes ) with a few others ( Spitfire and Hunter ) and have just finished doing paints for Aerosoft's Airbus X (+30) . Going to start up again with a couple of paints that I was working on for the Civil Air Patrol ( topic is below this one ) .I would be very surprised if no one else reacts to your topic , as the file library is full of GA paints .John
September 11, 201015 yr Hi Chris,I have no idea why there are so many ailiners and far less GA.Maybe its because youngsters starting flightsimming have in their mind becoming a pilot in real life and want to fly the big birds asap.Maybe its because painting airliners (tubes, sigars)is quiet simple compared to GA.Apart from 25 liveries for the Fokker F28 ailiner ( on request for Project Fokker http://fokker.avsim.net/F28_screenshots.htm) I did some years ago , I only paint(-ed) GA.Last year I did some (HD-paints) Stinson Sentinels for X-Plane. http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Location=AVSIM&Proto=file&ImageID=246194RegardsLeen
September 11, 201015 yr Author When I only think about Eagles I lose count of the number of paints I have done for this bird. I did do a couple of tubes - but then only for fun. I still can't fly the darned things - all I ever hear is that ratcheting overspeed alarm and only 240 knots on the clock. Besides, flying either tubes or military jets really ruins the scenery - it's either too far below, or all blurred because it hasn't reloaded.just for interest, here's a link to a slideshow of just some of my Eagle skins...
