September 16, 201015 yr Hello again. I am trying to re-install Flight 1 ground environment but can't locate my Setup.exe on my computer. I am on Windows 7. I'm a little unhapppy with Flight 1 because they tend to kiss you off if you ask them for help. Their products? No complaint. Has anyone in here had this problem? I can't locate my DVD drive or Setup.exe but I know they're in there somewhere. I know this is not directly tied to flight simming but I need help and Flight 1 isn't providing it. And folks in this room have been invaluable. Thanks.
September 16, 201015 yr Hi,1. Flight 1 does not "kiss off" anyone who is polite and provides enough information to them. They still provide support for our product, long after the fact.2. I don't see a single post from you at Flight 1 unless you used a different user name.3. You don't need the setup.exe. Download a fresh copy from the proper web site and be ready to point the installer to your product key.4. As always there are some adjustments you may have to make when using Win 7.5. What does your DVD drive have to do with any of this?6. Did you search your system for setup.exe?
September 16, 201015 yr Jim: Sorry if you feel I was impolite. I was not. I queried Flight 1 using the "ticket" process. I told them I was trying to reinstall GE from a disc and gave them the two error messages that appeared during the attempt. I told them I was trying to locate the setup.exe as described in the GE pamphlet without success. I gopt an e mail back to tell me to keep searching. I don't think my original e mail was even read. That, to me, is a kss off. I have bought quite a few products from Flight 1 and resent this treatment. I am an elderly gent and have not been raised with computers. I think the problem is impatience. I don't think the tech help on Flight 1 likes to deal with newbies to the computer. Flight 1 should have someone on tech staff who can deal with people like me without being perfunctory.I believe DenisH is my name with Flight 1. I am an enrolled customer. [email protected] is my e mail address.

September 16, 201015 yr Hi Dennis:Just a friendly bit of advice..........Never post your e-mail address in this, or any forum, anywhere - unless you enjoy receiving spam. The "bad guys" use automated programs to troll forums seeking e-mail addresses which are then passed on to spammers. If you need to be contacted, ask folks to send you a PM (Personal Message) instead.
