No, as you see the approach lighting sticks firmly to the ground, and it's a standard CAT IIIB capable ASLF-2 model (can't see much of it since we're still 3000 feet from the threshold but as you imagine there are just too many fences to get any closer without significnant injury...). Indeed, not US but talking Western Europe here. If it was elevated approach lights they would likely look somehow like this:The red light the tower and the checkerboard house have on top are definately not part of the ALS but simply mark them as obstacles, which they obvisously are. Further comments and professional advice are appreciated.Regards
