I just purchased the Caravan. I intended to get it earlier but I procrastinated a little. Anyway, with the release of FSDT's Hawaii, I really needed something realistic/current for island hopping.Anyway, I love the plane. great job!I have read that there had been a patch and a FDE update. Considering that I downloaded the installer last night (10/2), what do I need to download/install to get everything current. I have only had one landing so far and it didn't go well. Didn't capture GS, bounced... Since it was my first flight, I would assume it is user error. The only Caravan I have flown so far is the default one - I can grease landing at TFFJ with that thing but I am sure it is less realistic that the Carenado version.Of course, I have downloaded Bill's paints. Is there a depository of any other ones? I would love and Air Caraibes paint.Thanks for the great aircraft. This was my first purchase from Carenado in the 10 years of being addicted to FS.

the patch is available (includes the fde update) on the updates section of the carenado website.it says that if you downloaded after september 22 then you don't need the patch, so i think you are good to go.cheers-andy crosby

Hey,Glad you like it! Best results for landing are trying to hold airspeed, with torque above 500 until you are basically ready to flare. The real airplane loses speed quickly once lower than 500 torque.Typically, try flying the final at 110 KIAS, 600-800 torque, and flaps 20. Once you start crossing the numbers, slowing bring power to idle while starting the flare, and let us know what you think!As for the FDE stuff, since you downloaded after Sept 22nd, it should be included!
