October 6, 201015 yr Allright so it's back down to 1.43 perfectly stable so this is good for now. I'll tweak some more when I get a moment. Thanks for the advice all
October 7, 201015 yr I run my i7 920 at 4GHz, with the NHD-14...CPU voltage is 1.24 and can probably go lower, so yes, I would be surprised if you can't nudge that down considerably. All CPU's are different though.80 degrees is the max, under real temp or core temp, but even 80 I would tend to avoid. Low 70's is ideal when running the Intel burn test, but running FSX you should see 50's.If you disable hyper-threading, your temperatures will drop by a further 10 degrees. And most of us don't need HT anyway.

October 8, 201015 yr Lucky, that Vcore makes no sense really. If you fear BSOD do this (it's always a good idea to do it anyway)Get Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image (I prefer Acronis) and back up your OS/main drive. Bring down your Vcore as low as you can, no BSOD will damage your hardware, not a chance. It's extremely unlikely, but if your windows instalation gets corrupted, then recover your drive and you're good to go.

October 9, 201015 yr Moderator Oh sorry put this the wrong way I don't care at all about BSODs happens all the time just that it's very annoying and I'm felling kind of lazy I'll get that Vcore down to 1.4 hopefully when I get a chance.Until then any suggestions about my RAM problem?Lucky - Maybe I'm misreading this but you darn well SHOULD care about BSOD's. If they happen at all they are no good. Not only are they an indication of a serious problem with your system, they can also lead to complete corruption and serious damage to your system. Unless you particular like reformating and reinstalling frequently. You need to get your system stable - NO BSOD'S - then you can work on other issues. Without a solid base to work from you will never get it right.Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
