What means AI ?

Featured Replies

HeyWhen I want to download I see lots of "AI Aircrafts". What does that mean ? Are they somehow different of other aircrafts ? Do you need any special thing to download them ? Thanks for answering

AI stands for artificial intelligence. AI models are basically models designed with less detail/lower polygon counts for lower resource consumption, made for the purpose of being used as the computer-controlled air traffic in the flight simulation environment. There are many groups offering different options to get more life-like traffic in Microsoft Flight Simulator, one example is World of AI which offers a good free compilation.

That depends on the AI, some of it qualifies for Artificial Idiot. Overall though, you are correct. Basically it means that it is a Non Player Controled aircraft that are flying around the simulated world in this case.
