September 17, 200322 yr Eeehh.... *Types in "Microsoft Flight Simulator + Patch".............................................................................. Search Results:"We didn't find any Search Results containing "Microsoft Flight Simulator + Patch" . [Tip: Check your spelling or try different words that mean the same thing.[/i]Nope, no patch, sorry :(Jason :-waveP.S.- No, I didn't really search for it, just kind put this post into a different format.
September 17, 200322 yr You didn't by chance fly through Detroit during the blizzard in early '99, did you? I did. I wish a patch would have worked for that mess. We had no movement from ATC for three hours, in an unheated propjet, and we were stuck in a line of aircraft extending the length of the runway, snaking through the taxiways, all the way back to the rather crummy old Detroit terminal. So what you've posted is nothing compared to Detroit ATC during weather. Just had to get that off my chest.BTW, my flight into Ottawa that night arrived some seven hours late.... :)-John
September 18, 200322 yr You call that a traffic jam ?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/37591.jpgKurt M

September 18, 200322 yr Looks like time to park the plane and fire up MS Train Simulator -- as real as it gets. hehe Racartronit means something, but I just can't remember what
September 18, 200322 yr A patch should be for GPS. Gps needs some new considerations on making it as real as possible. There seems to be many missing items with it and the operation is very difficult.
September 18, 200322 yr in case the pic is no fake:-)What airfield? What time ?What season?FS2002 or 2004?Generic AI traffic or not?G
September 18, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi Kurt, I was joking :-lol . If you have seen the Ms patch history accuracy= patchy result, I don`t think patch will give the result that's user want. Remember at fs2000, the strong scenery shadows and still in fs2002/fs2004, non accurate feature added by a patch and still reside in the sim, poor fs2000 coastline line fs2000.cfg that's was already available before the release (hidden line fs2000 preview shots), what's about cfs3 patch. Never change major thing here in fs2000 peformance or either cfs3. I am not thinking anymore about any patch with MsFs in each release, they will never fix major things, Did the patch fix the major performance problem in fs2000 and cfs3 and major feature no.All feature such as; atc, weather, scenery, bridge, gps, the chance you will see a patch for this are 0.1%. These are feature to be improved for the next version of Msfs.See the Ms patch history not really high on result and accuracy. Remember the weather in fs2002 and all these cry about the weather, anomalie 2d cloud, line horizon, streached clouds, atc, traffic, blur, etcI hope for those want a patch will have it, In my case, it will make no difference, I never forget the past about these famous patch wanted and each MsFs release cry :-) To be continued for fs2006 cry&patch :7 I Can`t run the sim , they totally screw my home town airports, bad fps (-:, Will this system will able to run fs :-doh, Why Ms are not able to do it :-smile12 Back to the previous sim, the 3rd party addon are not compatible, I have spend 500$ :-aol, I have better fps with the previous sim :-shy ThanksChris Willis[link:fsw.simflight.com/FSWMenuFsSim.html]Clouds And Addons For MsFs Kind RegardsChris Willis
September 18, 200322 yr roflmao.. chris hahahaha you are soo right :-xxrotflmaobut you forgot.. im going to return the sim and demand a refund, the sim sucks, i have happily uninstalled the sim , i will stick with previus version, why my p2 cant run fs,i cant see any improvement from the previus version, what is the real cost of fs?lol lol lol :7 :-smile12 (-: :-dohthe exact same things every fs release hahahaha is very funny hahah :-lol :-lol :-loldont get me wrong...and no offense is intended..this is just cuz it is soo funny :) .. :-beerchug
September 19, 200322 yr There are definitely two bugs in MS flight sim that cause this. Actually, they're more like programmer oversight than actual bugs. In other words, it's not so much an error as just something the programmers didn't think about and evidently didn't see or have time to fix in testing. The first bug is that if there are enough aircraft waiting to take off, they can (depending on the airport layout) block the exits from the runways. So, when a plane comes in to land it can't get off the runway and that means the next plane can't take off - which in turn means the ramp will stay obstructing and... (sigh) the first plane will never get off the runway. This bug was present in 2002 also and if you waited a very long time, the planes would eventually just disappear. I haven't observed it in 2004 but from your screenshot it looks like it still exists.I would say that the solution is better design of the airports. Maybe some code that prevents blocking exits. But, as you know, the airports are created automatically from an FAA database of GPS coordinates. There are too many airports for MS (even MS) to fix them all. Option 2 is to reduce the timeout period after which a stuck plane disappears. Option 3 might be something involving the allowing the AI aircraft to ignore red lights as it were, and start moving even when their path appears blocked. The second bug occurs when the user-operated aircraft gets too close behind the plane its following on the taxiway. FS sees that two aircraft are in the same section of airport but apparently can't tell if the user aircraft is in front of or behind the AI aircraft. So, it takes the safe route and just stops the AI aircraft.A solution to this one is to write code allowing AI planes to "see" what's in front of them, rather than just detecting the presence of another aircraft on their section of track. But, somehow I think that if that were easy to do, MS would have done it. A better solution is to not crowd the AI (too bad they don't give us the same courtesy in the air).
