Graphics problems, please help !

Featured Replies

I don't really know how to describe the problem, you have to see it to understand. Basically when i look in the distance the water or ground details look like heatwaves (i don't know if i can call it a blurry effect) or something and also a weird effect like when the tv cable goes down and you see the little spots on the screen. I have some pictures and you can compare them with other pics that don't have the problem that i do. Everything is maxed out, no lag and also i have pretty much every ground add-ons and REX too. If you go to options > hardware is "bilinear or trilinear" set? You should run atleast bilinear...

Hi.For the "shimmering", you should try playing with your graphics card anisotropic filtering settings. For the blurries, in your FS9 settings, make sure your mipmap levels are set to 4 or 5.Also search the forums for fs9.cfg tweaks, it's difficult to post the solution as it differs for everyone. You're looking for these:TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUSTERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUSTERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS(among others)To add to Nandan's post above, trilinear minimum.

it's at trilinear, i don't think there is a higher setting...as i said, everything is set at max

Look at the display options (hardware tab) and be sure the MipMap setting is no higher than 4. Anything above that will start to "pixelate" the scenery.Doug
