Good evening,this weekend I wanted to start a flight in PNW with the J41 and when I wanted to plan my flight in the FMS I saw a strange problem. I pressed the On button and only a Yellow box was visible... The only change I made to my PC was a new graphic card and a new FSX.cfg with only highmemfix.. Anybody have an idea? Cheers,Thomas

From PMDG Knowledge Base:This can caused by a permissions issue when the installer attempts to copy fonts between FSX and the Windows OS fonts folder.To solve the issue manually:

1. Ensure that FSX is not running.
2. Navigate to the FSX\fonts folder and find the file glassga.ttf.
3. Open the Control Panel\Fonts applet, and drag the file from the FSX fonts folder into the window, which will install it.
4. Reboot the computer and run FSX. The issue should be solved.

We've also recieved word that this issue can be caused by disabling the "Distributed Link Tracking Client" service, which is recommended by many popular "tweaking" guides. We highly discourage any disabling of Windows services. The performance gain is negligible at best and at worst you run the risk of causing strange issues such as this one. You lost a font file for some reason, try running the installer and select repair. I think the font file name is glassgau.ttf or something like that but it's been awhile since this came up here.

This happened after installing the Flight 1 Mustang... Strange... I removed it tonight as it only brought problems... Will report back in a bit see if it's the font issue, Thanks for your very quick help ;)

problem is solved thanks to you guys. feel a bit dumb about forgetting to check the faq...no i only have to solve the problem with my cub...
