Hi all , I'have got a big problem with my geforce gtx 470 .I have just changed my pc : now I have an intel Core i7 extreme 980x,mobo X58-USB3 o.s. windows xp pro . I run Fs9 on two monitor very very well .When I run FsX ( golden edition ) if I choose a new window ( f.e. external observer ) everythinggo well if I run only a monitor . If I move the new window on the second monitorthe image of the window that I have moved have a very very bad quality impossible to see. If I return the window on the firstmonitor the image return normal . Many thanks for your help .Best regardsMaurizio

Are the monitors identical? it seems like they aren't and are running different resolutions and/or refresh rates.

What he means is have you tried switching the cables from one monitor to another. First move only the cables that are connected to each monitor, if the picture is still bad on the same monitor then you know it is the monitor that is having an issue. If you switch the cables and the bad picture moves to the other monitor then you know it is either the cable or the connection to the video card and by changing each wire out you can then determine if it is the connection or the wire, just some basic troubleshooting. Are you using identical HDMI, DVI or RGB cable's? One last thing to consider is power supply, what have you got to power your computer?

Hi Maurizio - I am not sure either my friend. It could just be how FSX is configured and that is making a difference. When you switch to the outside view are you first pressing the [ key to create a new window then cycling through the the exterior view or are you pressing ALT Enter to go into window mode? Once you create the new "view" window -- [ key -- you can drag it over to the other screen. And make sure the resolution is the same from FSX to your desktop to the additional monitorI will experiment myself when I have a chance and get back to you.Best,

Hi Robert, here my normal procedure : I run FsX in window mode . I go on -new view-external observer .When I have the new view I undock it and I drag it on the second monitor : and here when I try to resize the imageI have the problem . The image is all troubled . If I drag the view again on the first monitor the image return normal .I don't employ [key and ALTEnter key. What I am not able to understand is that I run Fs9 in the same way and on the same monitors without problems . Many many thanks for your help.Best regardsMaurizio

Maurizio - what driver are you using for the 470? Some of the newer drivers have a problem with Windows XP.Are you using nhancer?http://www.simforums.com/forums/nhancer-settings-for-new-drivers-updated-v1932_topic36586.htmlthis may help - it's specifically aimed at the nvidia 400 series cards.Vic

Hi Vic , I am using the last drivers version for the 470 : "260,99" .I don't use nhancer because I have not the knowledge and the skill to employthis program in the right way. In the past I never had a problem with FsX .Many thanks . Best regards Maurizio

get NVidia Inspector and follow the setup steps in the link I posted earlier. See if that helps.Another question - if you start FSX in windowed mode, load an aircraft, use SHIFT 3 to bring up the GPS and then undock it and drag it to the second monitor, do you still have the problem?

Hi Vic , if I undock and drag the GPS on the other monitor I have no problem .The problem turn up only if I undock and drag another "visual" window. Thanks . Best RegardsMaurizio
